White River freshman Tylan Bear looking to break through in the Region 7B shot put

White River's Bear aims to GO BIG at Region track
May 18, 2017

By Rich Winter

Kinda was introduced to White River freshman, Tylan Bear at the Todd County Invitational. As I was running the discus competition I got to see Bear throw the discus as a young freshman just getting introduced to the throws in the shot and discus.

While Bear hasn't come close, yet, to making a splash in the 'Contender' for Region 7B shot supremacy, he's been very public about his goals in the shot this season. Thirty-two feet has been the barrier he's been stuck at. Couple of weeks ago he hit 31-11....OOOOOHHH, so close!

Well, on his Facebook Page this morning, there it is, "I'm trying 32 tomorrow at the regional track meet😬 feeling confident!"

Well, go get it son!

Just two ladies on the White River track team, Miaken Adrian and Morgan Taft. Both are throwers, and if memory serves, Taft, a senior shoud be competitive and has a SHOT to slide into the state track meet in the shot put and perhaps discus.

By day's end there will be a White River boy, or perhaps BOYZ that have qualified for the state track meet.

Small roster of Bear, Gabe Beardt, Dusty Bechtold, Tyson Iyotte, John Petrik, Cheyenne Red Fish, Nick Sayler, Izaiah Sorace.

These guys have been working hard this track season, and, I'm not sure what relay will get in, medley or mile relay I'd think, but one of those relays, maybe both well make the dance.

Good luck Mr. Bear, let me know how it goes
