Wagner's Dion impressive at Mitchell Invite

Wagner freshman, Alcista Dion, running in her first race of the season looked impressive in claiming the title at the Mitchell Invitational. For the first meet of the year the ladies ran 4000 meters (2.49 miles). For the remainder of the season, the girls will run 5000 meters or 3.1 miles. 

 

Dion (17:08) grabbed the win over Kimball/White Lake's Sidney McCord who was second with a time of 17:32.

 

While no team points where kept, MVP looked solid with runners placing 3rd, 4th and 10th in the event.

In the boys race, Mitchell Christian's Alec Nelson slipped under 15-minutes for 4k winning the race with a time of 14:53 to just edge Platte-Geddes runner, Caden Tegethoff who ran 14:57
