Alright, so trick question right out of the gate: Who were the only two female athletes to win 3 Region titles at last Thursday's Region 7A meet in Martin?
Well, the first one is pretty obvious as Todd County 8th grader, Caelyn Valandra-Prue rocketed to Region titles in the 100, 200 and 400.
Who else?
Red Cloud sophomore, Echo Ecoffey also claimed three titles in Martin, and it probably could have been four.
Early round of the 100 hurdles and Ecoffey did the unthinkable, she falst started and was unable to run.
Clearly shaken by the result, Ecoffey gathered herself and went out and kicked some butt winning the 300 hurdles and taking region titles in the long and triple jumps.

The triple jump is probably Ecoffey's best chance to medal a the state meet. Young lady jumped 32-1 on a terribly cold and windy day over in Martin. Usually takes a little over 34 feet to make finals.
Heck of a young track athletes over there in Red Cloud and someone that obviously cares about her sport.
Great work!
