Isn't it supposed to be the off-season...LOL...Not really!

As part of the coverage of Liveticket.tv and panicbutton.sportsblog.com for an off-season, man is there a heck of a lot going on from our neck of the woods in south-central South Dakota.

As I type this I'm keeping an eye on Chamberlain's Nash Hutmacher who is getting after it vs. his opponent from Indiana. The fella Nash is wrestling against is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the No. 15 ranked wrestler in the nation.

Will have an updated on that here in a bit although Hutmacher looks to have the match well in hand.

Hutmacher just tech-falled his opponent.

Wyatt Turnquist eliminated from the Cadet freestyle portion of the tournament in Fargo. Turnquist lost a tough 12-11 decision to Benny Martinez of California, then had a bye and lost his last match 13-2 against a wrestler from Iowa.

Burke 18-under fastpitch girls team took 4th in the state.

Word just in, Burke 12-under team finished 2nd in the state

And for good measure, the Panic Button visited the Colombe rodeo grounds in Mission today and despite the sweltering heat, a bunch of youngsters out getting their groove and working hard to get better.

Busy, love it....good job South Dakota

Oh, and forget to mention a little note here on the Winner 12-under baseball team.

Winner's Aiden Barfus had 5 homers for Winner during the tournament.

The Winner team finished 4th in this big tournament, dropping a 6-2 decision to West Central on their way to that fourth place finish.
