Eden Prairie's Denzel Brown has the fastest time in the Howard Wood special 200

Minnesota's Denzel Brown highlights LOADED Howard Wood special 200
May 3, 2017

By Rich Winter

Have seriously been chomping at the bit all day today to find out who is in the boys Special Event 200 meters at Howard Wood. Invitations only greet the field where a heck of a race could come from the center of the track.

Winner's Cameron Kuil will run from lane 5 and he enters the meet with the second fastest qualifying time of 21.8

Chasing Kuil from lane 4 will be Eden Prairie's Denzel Brown, the defending Minnesota state 200 champion, Brown reset his personal record at the Hamline Elite Meet last week, posting a 21.62.

Two fast guys coming from the middle of the track is where the race should come from. Just to keep note, the Howard Wood Dakota Relays record is 21.52 set in 2013 by former Sioux Falls Washington product and recently drafted Nebraska player, Nate Gerry!

To see all the contendors, and even a quote from Winner coach Larry Aaker, check out the story in today's Sioux Falls Argus Leader.
