Hitchcock-Tulare hits post-season playing their best volleyball

As the Region 3B volleyball tournament tips off tonight, coach Jordan Opp and the rest of the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots will be interested observers to see who they will face when THEIR portion of play begins Tuesday.
By virtue of a late-season charge, winning ten of their last 12, Opp's Patriots vaulted up in the Region 3B standings, all the way to third place.

On Monday night, #6 James Valley Christian takes on No. 11, Iroquois. Opp's Patriots will face the winner of that match on Tuesday evening.
On Sep. 23 during tournament play, after a loss to Hanson, the Patiots were just 4-11.
Since then, 10-2 with wins over solid squads: Avon (14-10), JVC (13-10), Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (14-11), Wolsey-Wessington (13-10), Sully Buttes (17-7).
The only losses in tha final five weeks came to a 17-7 Class A Groton squad on Oct. 10 and a regular season ending loss to Class B, No. 1, 29-1 Northwestern.

A Hitchcock-Tulare/Duebrook match to reach the Sweet-16 would take place on Thursday, Nov. 2.
