Bryant Burnette and the Todd County Falcon football team hosts Dakota Valley on Friday.

Falcon skill guys off the charts last week - Welcome to the TICKET, Todd County FALCONS
Aug 30, 2017

By Rich Winter

It was an impressive performance by the Todd County football team Friday as Coach Bob Kornely's Falcons stepped off the bus in Stephen and came home with a 54-0 win to get their season off to a 1-0 start.

Was going through the stats a bit on Sunday, and the skill guys for TC were absolutely brilliant, and, they are all juniors.

QB Bryant Burnette - 7-7 passing for 84 yards and 2 TD's...can't get much more efficient than that as Burnette had a QB rating of 171...DANG!

WR - Josh Rowland - 5 catches for 74 yards and 2 TD's. (For good measure, Rowland had a 68-yard run that also scored as a TD.

RB - Mark Rogers - 10 carries for 202 yards with 2 TD's (And, for good measure,  Rogers had an 82-yard kickoff return for a TD). Could not be more excited for Rogers to be back in the lineup. Young man had a tough knee injury a couple of years ago that kept him out of summer baseball and such. Last year, as a sophomore, Rogers got hurt early after getting off to a terrific start and just wasn't quite right all the way through basketball.

The Falcons have a big-boy opponent this week as they will be taking on the Dakota Valley Panthers, in Mission on Friday beginning at 6:00 p.m. DV is ranked No. 4 in the Class 11A ranks and shutout Dell Rapids, I believe the score on that was 18-0.

At any rate, Friday's game will be webcast (shown on the internet) and you can find it here...

Saw this a bit late in the season last year but all Falcon home games are going to be broadcast from this site, and the Falcons are one of the growing number of schools to join, www.liveticket.tv...Check it out there are 20 schools across South Dakota, soon to be 33 on the ticket and all sorts of high-school sports action is going on around the state, including Todd County Falcons stuff.

In addition, the PanicButton sports blog...www.panicbutton.live will continue to blog about TC sports.

Just wanna see TC sports, the Falcons now have their own Facebook sports page dedicated solely to Falcon sports at https://www.facebook.com/TCFalconsLive/

Check it out, it is going to be a great year for a lot of TC sports.
