Faces in our Crowd - Burke's Tyson Serr

Well, a picture certainly does say a thousand words...that looks like one proud mom as Tammi Pense Serr attended Northern State's first game of the season, a 23-16 win over Wayne State.


And so, Tyson Serr is a red-shirt freshman at Northern State University. 


Nice bio so far: 


2016: Redshirt season, Named the Scout Team Player of the Year.

The Burke years: 

Prep: Serr is a 6-foot-0, 205-pound, linebacker out of Burke High School. He is a 4-year starter and senior captain for the Cougars under head coach Mike Sebern. As a senior, Serr tallied 93 tackles, ten tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries. He also added 741 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Serr notched 247 tackles, 1,620 yards rushing, 27 touchdowns, and 12 tackles for a loss in his career. He is a 2-time All-Conference and 2-time All-State selection, as well as a member of the Argus Leader Elite 45 Honorable Mention Team. Serr also participates in wrestling and track and field for Burke High School.   He is the son of Tom and Tammi Serr.


Big high school game tonight as Burke/South Central travels east to take on the No. 2 9B team in South Dakota, the Colome Cowboys.
