Ethan/Parkston young guns looking to do DAMAGE in class A cross

Well, as far as I can tell we are about two days out from the beginning of the state cross-country season. For a lot of folks that opener is going to be in Douglas at the always challenging meet that features several AA schools.

Out east the big attraction this Friday is the Beresford Invite.

Very excited to announce that Ethan has joined the sportsticketlive network and a bunch of their high school athletic events will not we webcast.

Still working on the site, but this is where Ethan's games will be webcast....http://ethanrustlers.live

Coming soon will be a Facebook page where a lot of Ethan's sports information will start showing up via my Panic Button sports blog.

Very fired up about the cross-country season that approaches and kind of excited to see how a couple of the Ethan/Parkston kids do at that first meet out in Beresford.

For the Ethan/Parkston guys: Jacob Murtha nabbed a podium spot a year ago with a 20th place finish. I am personally kind of fired up to see how 10th-grader, Austin Bartelt does. As a freshman, Bartelt clawed his way up to 45th place with a respectable 18:31.

Tucker Murtha was the other fella from Ethan/Parkston to make the Class A state meet. He finished 63rd with a time of 18:52

For the ladies, a promising 8th-grader, Lindsey Roth should be improved after finishing 22nd at the state meet a year ago. Roth backed up that performance with a 21st place finish in the state track meet in the 3200 meters

Junior, lexy Leischner finished 36th and Jessica Endres finished 45th.

With Roth, Leischner and Endres back in the fold if coach Jared Digmann can find another athlete or two, and I'm seeing some young guns on that roster, Ethan/Parkston could form a dangerous team come state tournament time.
