Drew Weber pitches Winner/Colome past Pierre

Solid outing Tuesday for the Winner/Colome guys as they defeated the Pierre legion team 8-3 in amateur baseball Thursday at Leahy Bowl in Winner.

Drew Weber got the start on the hill last night, and had a 4-2 lead after seven complete. Weber got out of a bases-loaded early inning jam as he fielded a shot up the middle, fired home for the force. The resulting throw to first produced a second-out.

The big fella, Graesser had an early triple and scored a run to put Winner on the board first.

Leading 4-2 after seven, the Panic Button ran for the hills (Iron Maiden reference) but the Lightning Rod, informed me this morning that Winner broke it open in the eighth to earn a 2-1 seasons win advantage over Pierre.

Monstrous, monstrous amateur game at Leahy Bowl on Thursday night as the Pheasants host Platte...Win the game and Winner earns the No. 2 seed in the upcoming playoffs....Lose and it could be anywhere from No. 3 to No. 6...

That game will be webcast on winnerwarriorslive.com
