Crow Creek @ St. Francis looks like a BATTLE
Sep 29, 2017
By Rich Winter
First thing I saw this morning after connecting to the information super-highway was a note from St. Francis assistant football coach TJ Whirlwind Soldier reminding me it is GAME DAY in St. Francis.
Crow Creek comes into this game with a 1-4 record. The only win for coach Brad Edenburn and the Chieftains came on Sep.7 against a Standing Rock North Dakota squad who is just down the road tonight, taking on Todd County.
Crow Creek, has played ok in recent weeks, losing 41-8 to Lead/Deadwood and 46-8, at home to a really good Pine Ridge team.

St. Francis is 0-5 on the season and the Warriors haven't scored a point so far this year.
That will change tonight!!

Over the years I've had the opportunity to watch a number of Crow Creek vs. St. Francis games. While neither program has sniffed the playoffs in quite some time, gotta tell ya, this is one of those games that ramps up the enthusiasm for BOTH squads.
Crow Creek can come into St. Francis and keep the ship afloat by picking up their second win of the season.
St. Francis, a very winnable game!
Belive a couple guys are back from injuries including senior Bryton Whipple who seemed to be pretty fired up yesterday at the prospects of having the opportunity to play the game.
Love to see a GIGANTIC crowd at St. Francis Indian School tonight. For those that are at Lakota Nation or can't get to the game, tonight's contest will be webcast on two locations.
