Colome's 'Jackson Kinzer rips off big yardage against BSC

Colome's KINZER is PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sep 4, 2017

By Rich Winter
Had some doubts coming into the football season whether Colome was going to be of the same 'Caliber' as a year ago. Listen, new coach, tons of really talented players lost to graduation, its the natural thing to thing, right?
Well, after knocking off a good Burke/South Central team, 64-14, Colome is 3-0 and have outscored the competition, 170-20 so far this season.
Connot told the Mitchell Daily Republic that he was pleased with how his team came out against BSC...

"We prepared well mentally and physically and it showed," Connot said. "We executed. We didn't let them get after us right away. They are a team that can really take off with their athletes. We got on them right away."

Alright, so the game is stopped at halftime, but, holy of holy what a first-quarter, Colome junior Jackson Kinzer had.

Scoring summary

First Quarter

C: Jackson Kinzer 62 run (Kolton Salonen pass from Layton Thieman)

C: Kinzer 33 run (Wyatt Cahoy run)

C: Kinzer 59 run (Thieman run)

C: Kinzer interception run (Cahoy run)

Take a look at that, talk about hitting people in the mouth to get out of the gates:

Kinzer 62 yard TD run, Kinzer 33 yard TD run, Kinzer 59 yard TD run....Hold the phone folks that is 154 yards on three scores. And, he returned an interception for a TD, all in the first quarter.

Four TD's, 154 yards first quarter, you bet...For his efforts, Jackson Kinzer is this week's Player of the WEEK!

(Other scores in the first quarter)

B/SC: Jaden Frank 15 pass from Ben Witt (Finn Hanson run)

C: Chase Dufek 60 run (Kinzer pass from Thieman)

Every tiime I see clips of Colome I see a big, TUFF, physical team that is moving the ball and pushing people around. Shoced at that in a way with some of the graduation losses, but the BIG-BOYS, the horses up front are really putting the Cowboy skill players in good positiions.

Bye week, then Gayville-Volin.

That game with Corsica/Stickney is LOOMING..

 Rest of the scoring summary...

Second Quarter

C: Thieman 7 run (pass failed)

C: Beau Bertram 58 run (Thieman run)

C: Dufek interception return (pass failed)

C: Adam Cole 57 run (run failed)

B/SC: Tyson Mayor 13 pass from Hunter Van Niewenhuyse (run failed)
