Buffs & Falcons throw down on liveticket.tv
Jan 31, 2017

While the volcanish ash of last night's 44-43 win by Todd County over Winner, IN WINNER, has barely settled, Rashad Shannon's crew hit the road Tuesday afternoon as the 6-6 Falcons travel to take on a 9-3 Stanley County squad.

The win over Winner vaulted Todd County in front of Winner and just behind St. Francis, who has a monster game with Pine Ridge, in St. Francis tonight.

Little Wound 44.93 12-3
Pine Ridge 44.25 9-3
Red Cloud 44.00 9-3
St. Francis Indian 41.42 7-5
Todd County 41.25 6-6
Winner 40.77 7-6
Bennett County 38.54 3-10

It wasn't perfection last night but Todd County dug deep with 10 apiece from seniors Loren Dragg and Lucas Iron Heart.

Stanley County is coached by former Sully Buttes standout, Max Foth and while the Buffs are coming off a loss to Potter County, they are, as said, 9-3 and need this win to keep pace with Crow Creek and Chamberlain, who flip-flopped for the top spot in Region 6 this week after Chamberlain lost to Sioux Falls Christian.

Region 6Seed PointsW-L
Crow Creek 44.92 10-3
Chamberlain 44.67 10-2
Miller 42.58 8-4
Stanley County 41.25 9-3
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 40.36 3-8
Mobridge-Pollock 40.27 4-7
McLaughlin 38.00 3-9

It's double-header night tonight in Ft. Pierre as the 12-1 Lady Falcons lace em up at 6:00 p.m. to take on a 3-9 Stanley County squad.

Roads not bad tonight but slick in spots...Don't feel like traveling and wanna see bruising Stanley County senior, Damon Hofteizer or a suddenly in contention Lady Falcon squad, the games will be webcast.
