Falcon junior Josh Rowland had a MONSTER game against Dakota Valley

Big week for TC sports - Falcons vs. CEB to be featured on liveticket.tv
Sep 6, 2017

By the Lightning Rod,

It has been a busy week over here in Winner this week but the one thing that keeps me going is knowing that I GET TO attend and broadcast a MASSIVE homecoming showdown between Todd County and CEB.

Both teams enter the game with 1-1 records and it should be a shoot-out and really a good measuring stick for Michael Scott's Braves and Bob Kornely's Falcons.

Watched a bit of the Falcons game with Dakota Valley from last Friday, and I gotta say, that Josh Rowland kid is a heck of a wide-receiver.

Rowland stats: 4-122 with (2) receiving TD's.

The second of those TD's, a 72-yarder from fellow junior, Bryant Burnette, was an absolute BEAST TD. Little bubble-screen out into the right flat, Rowland cut it upfield, then to the middle before finally breaking it out to the left and taking it to the HOUSE! (Love to see this young man in track cuz he's got some wheels).

* Mark Rogers had 98 yards rushing against a BEEFY Dakota Valley team!

Listen, the score of this game was 65-22 but Dakota Valley is one of the better 11A teams in the state and I liked the fight, the toughness and the never say die attitude of the Falcon football team.

Well, here comes Tonya Whirlwind Soldier's kids again. Looking through Facebook and the Falcon boys and girls cross-country teams both won titles at Pine Ridge.

Keep an ey on a couple young-guns over there...Love how freshman Xavier Little Thunder is coming along.

Volleyball: Was visiting with the Panic Button, Rich Winter earlier today and he tells me he has a blog brewing for Thursday morning complete with coach's quotes from Lady Falcon coach, Samantha Hand. Falcons swept the Marty Braves Thursday of last week and tomorrow, they head over to take on the always TUFF, Lady Thorpes in Pine Rige.

Note: The Lady Falcons home match with Red Cloud, will be webcast at http://tcfalcons.live

Couple big things I'd like the Falcon faithful to know about!!

1. Todd County home football and volleyball games will be webcast at http://tcfalcons.live

A. These games are on the liveticket.tv network of which 20 schools (soon to be 35) are webcasting their games.

2. The Panic Button...panicbutton.live (Rich) will continue to do his thing, but if you just want to see Falcon sports, you can find that on the TC Falcons Facbook page at...https://www.facebook.com/TCFalconsLive/

And finally, I'll be joining former Elite-45 Defensive Lineman and one of the all-time great Falcon football players, Chad Whirlwind Soldier in the booth for the CEB @ TC homecoming game, and that is gonna be a hoot..

C-ya Friday Falcon faithful!!!!
